From the club's website

The King Curling Club is committed to teaching, to developing, to promoting and encouraging the spirit of curling; to develop youth and adult programs that lead to local, national, and international competitions. The King Curling Club is a destination for players aged six to 86 to play in a supportive environment, socialize on and off the ice and make new friends. We operate six days a week, from October-April, with games played during the day and in the evening. Our social leagues are perfect for curlers who prefer to play in a no-pressure environment. We also offer men’s, ladies and mixed-team competitive leagues. Open house events, bonspiels, and curling clinics are excellent for improving skills and enjoying curling with loved ones. King Curling’s Little Rocks and Juniors Programs have a devoted team of enthusiastic coaches and volunteers that offer their time and energy to young curlers aged 7-21. The learn-to-curl programs are held after school and provide an opportunity for youth to be challenged in a supportive, engaging and fun environment. All equipment is provided.

What it teaches and who for are our best reading of the facts. The club has not confirmed them yet.

Questions to ask before a first class

  • Is there a learn-to-skate program for beginners?
  • Can skates be rented, and is a helmet required for young skaters?
  • When are sessions, and at which rink?
  • Are there test or competition fees on top of lessons?
  • Can parents watch from the stands?
