From the club's website

We are a newly established traditional Japanese martial arts dojo serving Nepean and the surrounding Ottawa community Through Yōseikan Budō, students develop practical self-defence skills, strength, focus, resilience, and confidence. Our safe, respectful classes combine strong fundamentals with individual guidance, allowing adults, youth, and children to progress at their own pace. Through Yōseikan Budō, students develop practical self-defence skills, strength, focus, resilience, and confidence. Our safe, respectful classes combine strong fundamentals with individual guidance, allowing adults, youth, and children to progress at their own pace. Our practice of Yōseikan Budō focuses on developing practical, efficient techniques for self-defence. Training is also a process of personal growth—one that requires time, dedication, discipline, and a willingness to move beyond our believed limits.

What it teaches and who for are our best reading of the facts. The club has not confirmed them yet.

Questions to ask before a first class

  • Which style does it teach, and is it about sport, tradition or self-defence?
  • Is there a trial class, and what does a beginner wear to it?
  • What does a uniform cost, and are there fees for belt gradings?
  • Is there a contract, how long is it, and how do you cancel?
  • When does sparring start, and what protective gear is needed?

Photos, classes and prices come from the club

We never copy them from a club's website: they are the club's own, and they go out of date. They appear here once the club claims this profile and adds them.
