Try a Free Class today at Arashi Do Martial Arts in Sherwood Park. We offer top quality training in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Karate for all ages and skill levels. Everyone is welcome! New to Martial Arts? SIGN UP FOR A FREE TRIAL CLASS Our program teaches traditional Muay Thai, an ancient martial art originally from Thailand. Muay Thai can be utilized for sport and self-defence and is known as “the art of eight limbs.” This refers to the eight points of contact utilized including the fists, elbows, knees, and shins. Our Muay Thai program is great for fitness, fun, discipline, coordination, flexibility and strength. High energy drills and games develop techniques and fitness in a fun active class. Students learn how to work with partners on pads and to spar with control. Our traditional Muay Thai program modified to an age appropriate level improves students’ mental and physical toughness as they face sparring partners and pad work. While most students train recreationally, some of our students go on to compete at club tournaments, open tournaments or in the ring.
