Join our martial arts school in Calgary for confidence, discipline, and fun! Classes for kids, youth, and adults. Classes for every age — guided by expert instructors in a safe, supportive environment. Same Choi Martial Arts training — closer to home. Exact address and class schedules will follow; leave your info and we'll notify you when we open. At Choi Martial Arts, our mission goes beyond kicks and punches. We believe martial arts is a path to personal transformation — physically, mentally, and emotionally. We offer a safe, welcoming space where students of all ages can grow stronger, more disciplined, and more confident. Our approach blends traditional techniques with modern training to ensure practical self-defence and long-term growth. Whether you're looking to get in shape, gain focus, or simply try something new — we’re here to support your journey, one class at a time. Master Choi has been training in Hap Ki Do for over 20 years. He served as a taekwondo instructor and taught martial arts on the US army base in South Korea.

Questions to ask before a first class

  • Which style does it teach, and is it about sport, tradition or self-defence?
  • Is there a trial class, and what does a beginner wear to it?
  • What does a uniform cost, and are there fees for belt gradings?
  • Is there a contract, how long is it, and how do you cancel?
  • When does sparring start, and what protective gear is needed?
