From the club's website

Victoria's original and premier Kung Fu and Lion Dance Club The Victoria Hung Fut & Lion Dance Association (VHFLDA), formerly known as the Wong Sheung Kung Fu Club (WSKFC), is dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditional Hung Fut style of Kung Fu.WSKFC was founded in 1974 in Victoria, Canada by the late Wong Sheung. While honouring its history and Hung Fut lineage, VHFLDA remains committed to developing its continued growth/expanded role in the martial arts programs. VHFLDA will also be maintaining the cultural Chinesetraditions through Lion Dance performances with the wider Greater Victoria community. Attending Kung Fu classes has not only improved my physical strength and discipline but has also instilled in me a sense of confidence and self-awareness that extends far beyond the Club. Kung Fu classes have not only honed my martial arts skills but have also taught me valuable lessons in patience, focus, and resilience that I apply to all aspects of my life.
