From the club's website

Since 1987, Waterloo Kung-Fu Academy has been changing people's lives, one student at a time. Join us! Count on us to help you succeed. We provide more instructors in each class than required to ensure we attend to every student’s unique needs. Benefit from highly trained Black Sash instructors with at least 8-years experience and assistants with a minimum of 2-to-3-years study. Feel comfortable knowing you and your children are learning age-appropriate techniques and concepts, with your utmost safety and enjoyment in mind. It’s really a unique environment where kids learn responsibility and resiliency and can experience real consequences in a way that also treats them with dignity and honour. It was such a pleasure to watch how you all are with these kids. There are not a lot of spaces like that, so thank you! I just want to say I’m really appreciative of everyone here because my son used to have confidence issues and he also has some behavioural issues that we work with Kidsability on, but during kung-fu, he’s a completely different kid.

What it teaches and who for are our best reading of the facts. The club has not confirmed them yet.

Questions to ask before a first class

  • Which style does it teach, and is it about sport, tradition or self-defence?
  • Is there a trial class, and what does a beginner wear to it?
  • What does a uniform cost, and are there fees for belt gradings?
  • Is there a contract, how long is it, and how do you cancel?
  • When does sparring start, and what protective gear is needed?

Photos, classes and prices come from the club

We never copy them from a club's website: they are the club's own, and they go out of date. They appear here once the club claims this profile and adds them.
