From the club's website

Home to curling in Cambridge since 1838, we are one of Ontario’s oldest clubs in continuous operation. With four sheets of quality ice and a welcoming community, we offer leagues and programs for all ages and experience levels—whether you're brand new to the sport or a seasoned competitor. Facilities are available for rentals year round for personal and professional events. At The Galt Curling Club, we believe that curling is for everyone. We are committed to fostering a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members, visitors, and guests—regardless of age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, cultural background, religion, or socioeconomic status. Curling brings people together, and we value the strength that diversity brings to our community. Whether you’re new to the sport or have been curling for decades, you belong here.

What it teaches and who for are our best reading of the facts. The club has not confirmed them yet.
