Questions to ask before a first class

• Which style does it teach, and is it about sport, tradition or self-defence?
• Is there a trial class, and what does a beginner wear to it?
• What does a uniform cost, and are there fees for belt gradings?
• Is there a contract, how long is it, and how do you cancel?
• When does sparring start, and what protective gear is needed?
