Karate is a great martial art for kids! Your child will learn the importance of focus, listening, goal setting and many other skills that will benefit them outside of the gym as well: All while developing great physical fitness and the ability to defend themselves and keep safe. Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes will give your child the ability to defend themselves in the case that someone grabs them, pushes them to the ground or is controlling them physically due to greater size or strength. Techniques taught include break falls (learning how to fall safely), positional escapes, take downs, proper use of leverage/body weight and submission holds (10 & up only). You don’t have to strong or tough. You don’t have to be fast or athletic. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu does the work for you! This grappling type martial art is based on leverage so it will work for anyone. You’ll be amazed by how fast your confidence grows as you invest time in training in the highly addictive martial art.

What it teaches and who for are our best reading of the facts. The club has not confirmed them yet.
