From the club's website

Hamilton Victoria Curling Club is a local recreation curling facility in Hamilton, Ontario. Offering curling opportunities for folks of all ages and skill level. Welcome to the Hamilton Victoria Curling Club! For more than 150 years, the Hamilton Victoria Curling Club has been bringing people together in the heart of downtown Hamilton. We're a friendly, community-focused curling club where curlers of all ages and experience levels can come together, enjoy the sport and make new friends. The new curling season is approaching and registration is now underway. Several leagues are already filling quickly, so don't wait too long to reserve your spot on the ice. You don't need any previous experience to get started. Our Learn to Curl programs are designed to help you discover why curling is one of Canada's most social and welcoming sports. Thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Government of Ontario for investing in our community. We are sincerely grateful for their generous financial support toward our new roof and reconditioning of our rocks.

What it teaches and who for are our best reading of the facts. The club has not confirmed them yet.
