From the club's website

Dark Horse BJJ is built for people who are brand new to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and want a safe, welcoming place to start. Located in the Crystallina Nera community, our home-based gym focuses on confidence, self-defence, and personal growth—without ego or pressure. Whether you’re an adult starting our 6-week beginner program or a parent looking for a positive outlet for your child, we offer structured, fun, and challenging jiu jitsu for kids, teens, and adults—right here in your neighbourhood. I've been taking lessons from Tim for three months and have been really enjoying my time here. As a complete beginner, I appreciate that he is very patient and at the same time pushing me to be better. Tim is a great teacher and Dark Horse is an amazing place to be a part of where the environment is welcoming and positive.

What it teaches and who for are our best reading of the facts. The club has not confirmed them yet.

Questions to ask before a first class

Which style does it teach, and is it about sport, tradition or self-defence?
Is there a trial class, and what does a beginner wear to it?
What does a uniform cost, and are there fees for belt gradings?
Is there a contract, how long is it, and how do you cancel?
When does sparring start, and what protective gear is needed?
