Nova Gymnastics

At Nova Gymnastics in Barrie, kids build confidence and strength through fun, skill-based classes for all levels—from beginners to competitors. Nova Gymnastics Academy was born from a shared passion for the sport and a vision for change. Michelle Pothier, a seasoned coach, national judge, and respected leader in the gymnastics community, had long dreamed of creating a space where young athletes could thrive—not just in skill but in confidence, resilience, and personal growth. One of the athletes she had the privilege of coaching was Savanna Inman, a dedicated Level 10 gymnast whose competitive journey shaped her understanding of the pressures young athletes face. Now a paramedic and advocate for positive change in youth sports, Savanna saw an opportunity to help redefine gymnastics culture. Alongside them was Shannon, a dedicated community member who recognized the need for a welcoming, high-quality gymnastics club that could inspire children of all ages and abilities. With Michelle’s expertise in athlete development, Savanna’s firsthand experience in elite competition, and Shannon’s heart for bringing people together, Nova Gymnastics became more than just a gym—it became a movement.
